We have two incredible updates to share with you!

First off, we are currently ranked SECOND IN THE NATION! We are so proud of what we’ve accomplished so far and are more motivated than ever to keep working hard. The support from our friends, families, and fans mean the world to us and keep pushing us to succeed.

Secondly, we would like to thank our incredible donors for helping us reach our fundraising goal of $5,000! With the generous contributions of our friends and family, we were able to reach our goal in just fifteen days. We cannot express how incredibly grateful we are to our donors. The $5,000 will have an enormous positive impact on our team, but due to our high travel costs and high number of individuals on the team, $5,000 will not cover all of our foreseeable expenses for this season. The money already raised covers half of the cost of flights, meaning each player will have to pay a few hundred dollars just to fly to Nationals or we will only be able to transport half of our players. Since we practice and compete as a team, we have decided that we will be traveling as a team. As a result, we will be challenging ourselves to reach a new goal of $10,000. The additional $5,000 will allow us to travel and compete as a whole team. Any extra money will be used to fund hotels, food, and transportation costs incurred. Please consider donating to help us reach Nationals, not just as individuals, but as UCLA Women’s Club Water Polo.

What a remarkable showing of support we have seen these past 12 days! As of yesterday, our team surpassed 75% of our target fundraising amount and is now hovering near 80%. We are so close to reaching our goal, and we could not have accomplished any of it without you- our remarkable donors!! 

But we can't stop now! These next couple of weeks are critical for our team; we still have two more weeks to raise our full 100% and we are going to need your help to do it. While we prepare for our next tournament in SLO, we are also working hard to stay on top of our classes- especially as the quarter draws to an end. We ask that you consider donating to our team to assist a group of brilliant young women continue to play the sport that they love. 

We invite you to come cheer our team on at our next tournament- March 4-5 at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo! For some fun, consider pledging a dollar to the team for every goal we score at the tournament- we call it "Dollars for Ballers"!

WOW. In just two days we have already surpassed 50% of our goal! Our donors are amazing! 

We are so grateful and overwhelmed with the generosity we have received from friends and family so far, each and every one of you inspire us to push ourselves in order to reach our goal of attending Nationals! In fact, this weekend at our first competition tournament we went undefeated- including a win against UC Santa Barbara, who is not only the top ranked team in our league, but won Nationals last year. It was an incredible game and the team is more excited than ever to take our competition to the next level.
